How Native App Flight Import Works

Direct import from native aviation apps is streamlined and straightforward. Whether exporting from SkyDemon, ForeFlight, or Garmin Pilot, the process captures all available flight data—route, timing, telemetry, and engine diagnostics—automatically. Select file format if needed, review extracted values, confirm your pilot information, and save as a compliance-ready flight record in your CloudGA log.

1. Export from Native App

Use Share Action or export functions in SkyDemon, ForeFlight, or Garmin Pilot to send flight data directly to CloudGA.

2. Automatic Data Extraction

CloudGA detects file format (CSV, GPX, KML) and automatically parses route, blocks, wheels, telemetry, EGT, CHT, and engine diagnostics.

3. Verify and Log

Review imported flight details, confirm pilot information, then save as an audit-ready, CAA/EASA/FAA-compliant record.

Fallback When Import Is Not Available

If a compatible import file is not available, CloudGA automatically falls back to ADS-B data retrieval where possible. This allows route and timing evidence to still be captured for logging and compliance continuity.
